ANSWERS FOR MOST WEBCAST STREAMING PROBLEMS

Windows Media Player
SAYS READY but does nothing.

You don't have Series 9 installed. CLICK HERE to get it.

My video is choppy.

This is almost always a case of not enough bandwidth available through your Broadband provider to your computer at the time of playback. CLICK HERE to check your bandwidth now.
There are many factors that affect the bandwidth available at your computer at any given time.  We recommend at  30% - 50% overhead of bandwidth above the stream requirement.  Try the lowest stream (100k or 200k) available and see if that works smoothly.  If that doesn't work, you have to rely on a download of the program later. You will then have copy of it for your own use.

(for downloads only)
How do you download the file?

Right Click where it says "right click here".  Then select "save target as", then give it a name on your hard drive, then click ok.

I didn't get the link

Your email SPAM filter caught and and treated it as SPAM.

Why is the screen black??? no video plays.

Sometimes it takes between 30 sec to 1 minute for a live stream to start. Refresh your browser and wait a minute.
OR check what version of Windows media you have,  7 or 8 can give you black screens.  9 or 10 is what you need, link below.

I can't hear the sound

Is the volume slider up on Windows media player?
Is the "mute button" clicked on on Windows media player?
Check the volume on your speakers
Check the volume on your windows software volume control.
Is the windows media player mute button clicked on?
Is there other software running that uses the speakers?
Is the speaker cable plugged into the wrong jack on the back of your computer?
The picture is stops and starts Some DSL users make experience some choppiness on the HIGHSPEED stream.

Try hitting the STOP button, waiting 30 seconds, then clicking PLAY again.  You will get a new stream and it may play better.
Make sure there is little or no other download traffic on your PC or
in-house network if possible.
Why can't I change the size of the video image? You can make it full screen using the method described above.
My media player won't work or there's a red X. Do you have Windows Media Series 9?  If not CLICK HERE to get it.
My computer or Internet Explorer Browser seems sluggish The webcast streaming download is taking up most of your Internet bandwidth so it you try to do other things on the internet while you are watching this webcast your performance could be slowed down.
the fast forward and rewind button don't work It's a live webcast - there is no forward to see yet. Since it's not a recorded file your watching, there's no rewind either.

OTHER TIPS FOR A BETTER VIEWING EXPERIENCE

1. Test the webcast experience before you invite others to watch.

2. Make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Player.

3. The best monitor resolution for these webcasts is 1024x768 for the 250k or 100k streams.

4. Learn how to size the Windows Media Player window. Just "right click" in the video window and mouse over "zoom".  Choose the "full screen" option.

5.  In full screen mode, click on the thumb tack to set the Windows Media borders to auto hide so they go away after a few seconds leaving you with a clear full screen.  Hitting the "Escape" key returns you to "video in a window" mode.

6.  If you are displaying the stream on a secondary monitor or big screen make sure your monitor 2 is set up properly in windows settings.  Some combinations will show the windows media window but not show the playing stream.  On some big screens I've called the manufacturer to work out this issue.
